Charitable Work

Ted is a firm believer in giving back to the communities that gave so much to him. Over the years he’s worked with dozens of meaningful not-for-profit organizations and helped raise countless dollars for good causes.

Some of Mr. McKnight’s current not-for-profit involvement includes work with the following organizations:

Cristo Rey Kansas City provides a Catholic, college prep education enhanced by an innovative corporate work study program to culturally diverse students with economic need.

On Saturday, March 24, Ted is participating in Cristo Rey’s upcoming benefit, “Dancing with the KC Stars 2012” at the Sheraton (formerly Hyatt Regency) Hotel. Tickets are still available for now – but the event traditionally sells out every year.

The mission of the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation is to contribute to the care of the “whole” patient.  This care ranges from compassionate support to cancer awareness, initiatives for patients of the Bismarck Cancer Center.

For the past several years Mr. McKnight has been involved in a fundraising event for the Center know as “Hunting Dakota With Roosevelt.” Through the event, a limited group of persons have the opportunity to step back in history and, on October 19-21, 2012, hunt grouse and pheasant on the very land that Theodore Roosevelt hunted. Sponsors have a unique opportunity to hunt, make a financial contribution to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation to further the fight against cancer.
